Flower Love
I LOVE flowers in my home. Having the beauty of creation inside has always made it feel more homey and just lifted my mood.Research confirms this! A Home Ecology of Flowers Study from Harvard found:1. Increased Compassion: Participants who lived with fresh cut flowers for less than a week reported heightened feelings of compassion and kindness towards others.2. Reduced Anxiety and Depression: The presence of flowers helped reduce feelings of anxiety, worry, and depression. Participants felt less negative overall after having flowers in their home for just a few days.3. Boost in Energy and Enthusiasm: Having flowers at home also had a positive carry-over effect on participants' mood at work. They reported feeling happier, more enthusiastic, and energized.Flowers are a tiny luxury to gift yourself.
Keep flowers in mind for those who may be:
- going through a difficult season
- celebrating a met goal
- dealing with anxiety or depression
- experiencing a lot of change
- grieving a loss
- starting a new job
- just someone you love or appreciate!

Hello! I'm Randa.I stumbled across growing cut flowers in early 2022.
They were a way toward peace and focus through a season of suffering that had been all-consuming.Being out in nature and getting your hands in the dirt is true therapy. There’s so much beauty in creation to enjoy when you choose to look for it. It still amazes me every time a seed sprouts, a seedling thrives, and the flowers bloom.Bring a touch of joy into your home. Flowers lift your mood and can brighten your environment, even when the dishes aren't done!Contact Randa via text

Why Evergreen?I love trees, and always have loved evergreens. Our home is surrounded by the green of creation. Evergreens are reliable, tough, and peaceful. They're steadfast through the seasons- they stick around and stay full of life, even in the dead of winter. Evergreens are a symbol of some of the core values that mean the most to me.There’s hope found in every season, sometimes you have to look harder than others to see it. In early 2022 I was looking for some peace. I had been in a stressful nurse practitioner position in neurosurgery and struggling with change. In December, my oldest son had been involved in a tragic car accident which was the hardest event my family had ever experienced. The shockwaves from that day keep coming. In a few words I’m a perfectionist, over-analyzer, and control freak…and I was experiencing life I could absolutely not control. That winter, I was watching the Magnolia Network, to just zone out for a while. I found Floret and Ranch to Table. There was a peace flowing from the shows- they chronicled extreme hard work, but it somehow focused me back to things I'd lost that I had enjoyed- investing in my land and home, seeing beauty, and recognizing different ways I could serve others. I started seed and prepared 4 small rows for cut flowers- I so enjoyed the dreaming, creating again, sharing flowers, and getting lost in the process. That June my son had a collapsed lung and we spent 2 difficult weeks in the hospital for surgery, ICU stay, and then several tough weeks of recovery. I was spent. Coming home and walking out into my tiny flower field with its gift of beauty waiting was like a long sigh. Refreshing. Peaceful. It was a reminder that life could go on without my death-grip hold.I quit my job that was pushing me to the limit and took a position that would allow me time that was needed for me and my family during this season. I started The Evergreen Flower Farm. Hands in the dirt helps to ground you, and my hope is I can bring some of the peace and beauty of nature to others through the flowers too. I’ve learned a lot about myself in these last few months in this endeavor.
Just maybe it can inspire and bring a little joy to others as well.
